Find a Rainbow Day | JOY for Today

Rainbows are beautiful, mystical, and a sign that we can TRUST God's promises. There is JOY to be had in finding a rainbow, even a figurative one.

A rainbow in a blue sky over a vast plain with bison. Text reads: Find a rainbow day. April 3, 2022. I will keep this promise forever. Genesis 9:13

Find a Rainbow Day Offerings:

Did You Know:

  1. Rainbows are unique to Earth? No other planet in our solar system harbors just the right conditions for rainbow production.
  2. No two people see the exact same rainbow? A rainbow is purely optical. Because it lacks a physical presence, its beauty is unique to every beholder. The arc, shape, and width of bands all vary person to person.
  3. A rainbow is a complete circle? You can observe circular rainbows from airplanes.
  4. You can never reach the end of a rainbow?  A rainbow's existence is dependent on the position of the observer. So, when you move, the rainbow will move.
  5. There is mathematical precision in rainbows? When the light is refracted at precisely 42 degrees opposite the sun's rays, a rainbow appears.

Wolfe Stew Connects

As I record these facts about rainbows, I see God in each one.
  1. The rainbow was created specifically for us earthlings.
  2. He uniquely speaks beauty and promises into each of our lives.
  3. His promises are unending, like a circle.
  4. God's promises are centered on and move with us.
  5. His promises are planned with precision for optimal results.
Finding a rainbow, literally and figuratively, is not often an easy feat. It requires patience, timing beyond our control, and hope. But when you find one, what a happy moment: hope after the storm, beauty through sadness, and God's enduring promises wrought through RESTARTS.

The story of God RESTARTING creation is just one of the models we looked at this month to fuel our RESTARTS. If you want to join us in GROWING to FIGHT for our faith, we'd love to have you.  RESTART is our March focus and in April we're GROWING in TRUST.
