  R is for Rams was filmed in Badlands National Park . These young rams were just sunning themselves on a hill above us. It was neat to see this grouping so close, and yet so far away.                  My Grandfather from my mother’s side was like a father to me.  My father left, because he was defeated.  My mother was there but she wasn’t.  She pursued Randy and a life of barhopping.  When I was 12, I was pretty much in charge of my brother and myself.  I didn’t want to be.  I have always looked for a father figure.  Even in my older age.  Everyone wants a father figure.                  My Grandpa Weber was the father figure as I grew from 8 years old up through college.  You see, my brother and I listened to the lectures he would tell us.  They were full of knowledge.  He told us stories of when he was in the Army in 1944.  He gave us wisdom that the Army gave to him.  They told him in the cafeteria that you could take what you want, but eat all you take.  He talked about his favorite 6 letter word, THINK.  I told him it was 5 letters, he told me T-H-I-N-K-!.  Even though the exclamation mark isn’t a letter, it still sunk in.  He also always told us to work smar

In February  we learned what  uplifting  means by looking at Proverbs 31:11 and 23. In March , we considered the virtue of  respect  by studying Proverbs 31:12 and 28. In April , we trained to be  hardworking  with Proverbs 31:13 and 19 as our instructors. In May , we saw what it takes to be  resourceful  by examining Proverbs 31:14 and 21.  In June , we developed our  caring  muscle by exercising Proverbs 31:15 and 22. In July , we practiced being  savvy  with help from Proverbs 31:16 and 27. In August , we witnessed  exemplary  behavior outlined in Proverbs 31:18 and 31. In September , we found what being  necessary  looks like from Proverbs 31:20 and 24. In October , we will exercise  strength  in Jesus from Proverbs 31:17 and 25. If you'
