January 2026 | Calendars

Happy (almost) New Year!

We made it to 2026! I hope your holidays were merry, and you feel refreshed to welcome January.

We're excited to return with our Ideas for EVERY Day calendars for 2026, along with a new approach to our GROWTH for today calendars. We pray they add JOY to your daily routines.

As we welcome January with hopeful anticipation, we hope you are trying new routines too. It's always a good idea to reflect and embrace positive restarts. We are praying for diligence in pursuit of your goals, that your efforts are rewarded, and that you remain hopeful when your plans don't go as intended.

January 2026 GROWTH for Today Calendar

News flash: we did not make it through the four gospels in 2025. In fact, we're still in Luke 4. To continue providing ideas for you, we're offering three plans: a book study, character study, or topical study. In January, they are:
  1. Book Study: Luke
  2. Character Study: Adam and Eve
  3. Topical Study: Diligence
For flexibility, we invite you to choose whichever plan you'd like, or construct your own. We offer a 7-step routine, but we encourage you to take it at your own pace. Some pacing options to consider:
  • All seven steps each day. Complete all seven steps for each daily passage.
  • One step each day. Stretch one passage across seven days by completing one step daily.
  • One step, one passage. Each day, read a new passage and complete one step for that passage.
The main point is to build the habit of daily study in an approachable format. While I try to complete each step every day, this 7-step approach allows me to stop at the end of any step if I find myself interrupted, or when I just feel done for the day. When I'm busy, I can still be faithful to my Bible study commitment by completing just one step. So please, know from the start that I am not forcing myself to maintain the pace, and I hope that gives you freedom to not follow it either. Instead, my goal is to provide you with small, manageable chunks of text and a flexible routine that guides you to ponder God's message to you.

As always, I will post my notes on the Faith Food page as I finish them.

Let us never stop GROWING!

To read the gospels is to understand the importance of perspective. Each gospel writer tells Jesus' story to a different audience so they can impart a message of import they experienced from His' teachings. Return with us to our January 2025 GROWTH for Today study on Matthew.

Yes, we know it's in October, but Columbus has a lot to teach us about perseverance. Includes facts, connections, scripture, quotes, and activity suggestions.

There's no doubt about it, the woman described at the end of Proverbs 31 was diligent. In April of 2024, we considered the trait of being hardworking in depth. Browse our notes to explore spindles, God's hands, and building habits of surrender with us.

Return with me to my very first faith-based blog. I plunged into the faith-writing venture when I read a familiar story but discovered a new perspective. I hope my story reminds you that we always have more to learn, and we are never done growing.
