October 2026 | Calendars

As I reflect on where we are in our 2026-2027 school year journey, I feel the stress that you are likely also feeling. 

Hopefully, you are settling into a routine, and you are feeling confident about your progress. But likely, you also have a few students that you take home with you in your mind and in your heart to pray over. Know we are praying over these precious learners too. Never forget that God sees them and cares for them even more than we do. So, please take every opportunity to lift these children up to their Maker. We are made for this.

Let's make this October an October of intercession for our learners to the One who set the stars in place and calls them each by name. He cares deeply for each one of your learners, and He cares for you, too.

October 2026 GROWTH for Today Calendar


In 2026, we're offering three plans for your Bible study routine: a book study, character study, or topical study. Here are the choices for October:
  1. Book Study: Continues John (Started in September)
  2. Character Study: Covers Ishmael and begins Isaac
  3. Topical Study: Stars
For flexibility, we invite you to choose whichever plan you'd like, or construct your own. We offer a 7-step routine, but we encourage you to take it at your own pace.

Welcome into the world created by John Flanagan in The Ruins of Gorlan .   The first of ten novels in the Ranger’s Apprentice series, not including the three prequels,  The Ruins of Gorlan vividly immerses readers into a world filled with adventure, fantasy, courage, and mystery.   And, after many years of hearing the Mr. recommending it to anyone and everyone who would listen, I finally got around to reading it.  Believe me, it did not disappoint.   In fact, the second read through with my nephew is proving even more enjoyable.   We’ve decided he is clearly Will and I've told him he can call me Halt.  Although he objects because, “You’re a girl!"    But someone must force him to think things through, have accurate answers and above all be honest!  It might as well be Halt if it can’t be Aunt E.   Anyway, the  entire Wolfe Stew household is excited to see it on the big screen!
